The name Odíhg Zapner is derived from the Tauric language, as Odíhg Zapner was founded by Sneimqenk Lloyd, who was culturaly Tauric.
Climate
Odíhg Zapner has a yearly average temperature of 22°C (71°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 29°C (84°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 16°C (60°F). Odíhg Zapner receives an average of 215 cm/y (84 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the fall. Odíhg Zapner covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 1936 m (6351 ft) above sea level.
Overview
Odíhg Zapner was founded durring the early 12th century in fall of the year 1148, by Sneimqenk Lloyd. The establishment of Odíhg Zapner was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Odíhg Zapner's construction back out of the project. Sneimqenk Lloyd pushed on reguardles, and Odíhg Zapner was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.
Odíhg Zapner was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the early 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Odíhg Zapner is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.
Odíhg Zapner is buildings are arranged arround a single premissive packed earth mainstreet with many smaller streets branching off of it which gives the town a over all rectangular shape, albit one warped and twisted by the nature of the curves of the main road. The town sits behind a stone-renforced palisade wall, with stone gatehouses and timber drawbridges for their trench. Odíhg Zapner's would-be-castle fortifications are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.
Right off the bat Odíhg Zapner hits you in the face with its success. Everyone, even the peasants, are dressed in well made clothing. Every tool and implement you can see is finely made, and people will boast to you as obvious strangers of the wonders which can be found in their markets. More interestingly is a total lack of beggars, and plenty of new buildings are going up even as you speak. Somehow this town has come into quite a lot of wealth, and recently from the looks of things. The new wealth has created some worrying attitudes in many passers by, such that it’s clear new laws have recently been enacted and enforced with such extreme scrutiny the locals seem to be going about their day as if by clockwork.
Civic Infrastructure
Odíhg Zapner has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Odíhg Zapner.
Odíhg Zapner has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.
Odíhg Zapner has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.
Odíhg Zapner has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Odíhg Zapner's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.
Odíhg Zapner possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. These lights provide nighttime illumination to most city streets.
Odíhg Zapner has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.
Odíhg Zapner has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.
Odíhg Zapner is home to a University which provides higher education in a variety of fields, and also serves as a research institute for those same fields.
Cultural Notes
Odíhg Zapner's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by vertical proportions, pointed arches, external buttressing, and asymmetry in the general shape of its buildings. The decorative features of the style were key, consisting of large arched windows, pointed arches, vaulted ceilings, flying buttresses, and sculptures integrated into the structure itself. Occasionally, for very important buildings, an array of sculptures or one colossal sculpture might replace the entirety of the entrance to said building.
In Odíhg Zapner during thunderstorms, with each flash of lightning, everyone sees different monsters from the corner of their eyes.
Odíhg Zapner's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves creating small tokens to channel Conjuration energies of tier 2 via throat singing.

History
In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century, Odíhg Zapner was attacked by soldiers from another nation, waging a greater campaign. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Odíhg Zapner lost 175 people, 248 livestock, and 97 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 45, when members of Odíhg Zapner's militia enacted an operation to escort a particular bridge to a safe location. The operation was complicated by extremely hostile wildlife which took many out of action. The conflict ended with a last stand against the enemy until a particular event occurred, which ended in defeat for Odíhg Zapner's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Odíhg Zapner's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
